Are you ready for this year’s 13th Annual Burlingame Pet Parade, about to happen on September 24th? For this year’s festivities, over 1,500 people including countless pet owners and pets alike all dressed up in amazing costumes, are eager to watch and participate. Will even be a school float contest, which local schools (public and private K-12 are eligible) are invited to compete in. School groups must register in advance by contacting Ayn Gilmore at AVR Realty in Burlingame at [email protected] or calling or (650) 342-2073.

Any “float” can be simple or complex, some examples being a decorated bicycle, wagon or kiddie car. Only non-motorized floats are eligible and each float must include one or more pets. No political entries are permitted, but all types of pets are welcome. Children without pets are encouraged to bring their stuffed animals. Groups are encouraged to identify themselves with banners or signs.

Winning school plus second place winner for the floats will receive monetary prizes of $400 and $200, respectively. All parade participants will receive souvenir ribbons. Grand Prize winner to receive special prize.
