View Our Online Periscope County Live-Stream Tomorrow Morning — Peninsula Humane Society Groundbreaking!

If you hadn’t noticed, we’ve been testing out periscope in our studio recently for the sake of using it out in the field in future occasions, starting tomorrow! We will be live-streaming the groundbreaking for the County of San Mateo’s long-awaited animal shelter at Coyote Point in San Mateo tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, beginning at approximately 10:30 AM. This new site will be replacing the more than 60-year-old existing building with modernized facilities better equipped to provide for the animals in its care.

The groundbreaking will include remarks from County Supervisor Carole Groom, County Manager John Maltbie and Peninsula Humane Society/SPCA President Ken White. Light refreshments will follow.

WHAT: The media is invited to attend the groundbreaking and following reception.

WHEN: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017

WHERE: 12 Airport Blvd, San Mateo
The ceremony will be in the front parking lot to the right of the shelter and in front of the dog playpen. Parking is limited but attendees may also park in the neighboring Coyote Point Playground parking lot.
